ScentCap Privacy
Summary
ScentCap 3.0 is offline-first. Your wardrobe stays on your device. There are no accounts, analytics SDKs, ads, or trackers. App Store privacy label: Data Not Collected.
What stays on your device
- Collection, wear logs, notes, and preferences (IndexedDB / localStorage)
- Bottle photos you add
- The bundled offline catalog of real bottles (shipped with the app)
- Cached optional weather or live-catalog results you requested
What may leave your device

ScentCap does not operate a backend that stores your wardrobe.
Permissions
- Location — asked only when you tap “Use my location”. City entry works without GPS.
- Camera / Photos — optional bottle photos. If denied, you can still add bottles without a photo.

Your controls
Export and erase from Settings. Clearing site data or uninstalling removes your wardrobe.

ScentCap is free. No payments or subscriptions.
