ScentCap — Terms of Use
Last updated: 24 October 2026 · Version 3.0
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of ScentCap, a fragrance wardrobe app published by Shamikh Ahmed / Capricorn Systems (“we,” “us”). By using ScentCap, you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
ScentCap helps you manage a personal fragrance collection with a bundled offline catalog of real bottles, weather-aware wear recommendations, and a local wear log. The app is provided as-is for personal, non-commercial use unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2. Accounts & data
- ScentCap does not require an account. Your wardrobe, photos, and wear history are stored on your device.
- You are responsible for backing up your data via export before changing devices or uninstalling.
- We do not operate servers that store your collection. Optional Open-Meteo and Fraganty calls are described in the Privacy Policy.
3. Free app
ScentCap is completely free. There are no subscriptions, in-app purchases, Stripe checkout, Pro tiers, or bottle limits. All features are available to everyone.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse ScentCap or reverse engineer the app for competing services.
5. Intellectual property
ScentCap branding, UI, and bundled software are owned by Capricorn Systems / Shamikh Ahmed. Fragrance names and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Bottle images © their respective brands, via Parfumo — used for reference; ScentCap is not affiliated with any fragrance house.
6. Disclaimers
ScentCap provides informational scent suggestions only. We do not guarantee allergy safety, workplace policy compliance, or commercial outcomes. Use your judgment before wearing fragrances in sensitive environments.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app or loss of local data.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
