PulseCap — Privacy Policy

PulseCap is an offline-first fitness Progressive Web App. Most personal data is stored and processed in your browser, but some optional features use external services.

Data stored on your device

• Profiles, settings, workouts, nutrition, measurements, training plans, and other app state are stored in browser localStorage.
• Plan import (text PDF / JSON / pasted text) is processed in your browser. Files are not uploaded. PulseCap keeps the structured plan in localStorage after you confirm the review; the original file is not stored by default. Scanned / image-only PDFs are unsupported (no OCR).
• Progress photos are stored in browser IndexedDB.
• PulseCap has no account system and includes no analytics or advertising by default.

Network and device features

• Optional exercise-library requests and media from wger (wger.de) disclose normal request data, such as your IP address and browser information, to wger and its infrastructure. Exercise images may be cached offline after you load them.
• GitHub Pages hosts the app. PulseCap does not load Google Fonts in the app shell; marketing pages use system fonts.
• The optional barcode scanner requests camera access. Camera input is used to scan a barcode; permission remains controlled by your browser or device.
• Optional voice logging uses the browser's SpeechRecognition service. Audio or transcripts may be processed by the browser vendor or another provider and are not guaranteed to remain offline.
• Notifications and screen wake lock use browser or device permissions. PulseCap does not use them to create an account or track you.
• Smart Coach is on-device rules — not a cloud LLM coach. No chat messages are sent to an LLM.

Exports, retention, and deletion

• Exports are created only when you request them. You control where exported files are saved or shared.
• Local data remains until you delete it in PulseCap, reset the app, or clear the site's browser data. Uninstalling the PWA may not remove browser storage on every platform.
• Reset and browser-data controls affect only data stored by PulseCap on that browser profile. They cannot delete exported copies or records retained by external providers under their own policies.
